Forsake Not...

A Churchgoer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.

“I've gone and done it for 30 long years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the preachers are wasting theirs too by giving lengthy sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

“I'm 25 years now. In that time my Mother has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this...they all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my Mum had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"

When you are DOWN to nothing...God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical and our spiritual nourishment!

Dr. Dobson: 'What I Think About Harry Potter'

Dr. James Dobson wants all friends of Focus on the Family to know about an error involving him that appeared on Page 1 of Wednesday's Washington Post. In a story about Christians' views on the Harry Potter books and films, reporter Jacqueline Salmon wrote that "Christian parenting guru James Dobson has praised the Potter books."

This is the exact opposite of Dr. Dobson's opinion — in fact, he said a few years ago on his daily radio broadcast that "We have spoken out strongly against all of the Harry Potter products." His rationale for that statement: Magical characters — witches, wizards, ghosts, goblins, werewolves, poltergeists and so on — fill the Harry Potter stories, and given the trend toward witchcraft and New Age ideology in the larger culture, it's difficult to ignore the effects such stories (albeit imaginary) might have on young, impressionable minds.

Ms. Salmon has not only acknowledged, but apologized for, the mistake and has promised the Post will correct it Friday. It seems she simply repeated misinformation that appeared in a less high-profile publication; she acknowledged she should have contacted us directly to make sure the assertion was true — and we appreciate her humility and professionalism in saying so.

The correction will also be offered to papers that subscribe to the Post's wire service and which may have also published the piece.

HARRY POTTER EVIL PART2

"If You Are A Christian Parent/Child, You Need To Pay Attention To This One..."

Unless you've been vacationing in some cave (away from TV and other news media) these past few months.. you most certainly have been bombarded by the latest wave of "Pottermania," which is about to be unleashed on an unsuspecting world just after midnight (12:01a.m.to be exact) on July 21st.

Kids all over the world would have to camp out at midnight, in their favourite bookstores just to grab their copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows''," the last book in the wildly popular Harry Potter series.

Just one day after the announcement that the 7th and last book in the Harry Potter series would be released July 21... Pottermania is raging once again, with e-retailer Amazon.com reporting record advance sales of the book.

The 7th title of the boy wizard series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," is so popular, that Amazon says it registered more pre-orders of the book on the first day than the 1.5 million books the company sold in the first two weeks of pre-orders for the sixth book.

First day sales of the were up 547 percent compared to book six. What does this mean for you as a Christian?

The first thing that should puzzle any careful observer is this:
But why do they always launch these books at midnight? (I'll answer that question in a moment.)

But first:
Spiritual people understand that midnight is a crucial spiritual entity on its own. The most powerful, history-making events that you hear about (both good and bad) can be traced to the midnight hour.

A few examples from the Bible:
* When God wanted to execute judgment on Egypt, He chose the midnight hour (Exodus 11).
* Samson waited till the midnight hour to storm the gates of his enemies (Judges 16).
* It was at midnight that Paul and Silas were miraculously delivered from prison (Acts 16).

So was it any surprise that:
* Those at the forefront of the global revival of witchcraft always wait until midnight to launch their MOST lethal weapon against the kids of this generation?

Many bad things that we hear about daily have their origin at midnight.

In Job 34:20 we read:
"In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken without hand." So why do they ALWAYS launch Harry Porter at midnight?

As a Christian you may or may not be aware of the explosive revival of witchcraft internationally, pioneered by a spirit known to our modern world as Harry Potter. His real name in the Bible is Beelzebub, "lord of the flies."

He has brilliantly repackaged himself and is being marketed to unsuspecting kids the world over as the fun, harmless, even lovable Harry Potter!

In this modern incarnation, he has some interesting things on his agenda for kids. It's been called the 7-point plan.

Harry Potter's 7-point Agenda:
1. Entice and initiate as many kids as possible into "fun" witchcraft through the Harry Potter books and movies... and gradually but quietly graduate them into deep occultism and hard core black magic as they grow older.
2. Push them to commit suicide (Note: many kids are reported to have gone into deep depression already as a result of the anticipated death in this 7th book - just the prelude to more child suicide).
3. Use more kids as instruments to commit mass murder in schools and other public places.
4. Use innocent looking kids to lure and recruit their unsuspecting friends at school into witchcraft.
(In many cities of the world, 1000's of kids will gather just after the launch to practice how to cast spells and mix deadly portions)
5. Position at least one witchcraft-practising kid in each family, then later equip her/him to wreck the home and turn that family into a desert.
6. Use the kids to promote an epidemic of rebellion (with a little help from drugs and hip hop music), plus an unprecedented level of pornography, sexual perversion and abortion.
7. Use the kids as the foot soldiers in the renewed war against the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generations.

The Good News
You see, this intelligent witchcraft spirit (or Harry Potter, if you prefer) is waging this serious war against kids knowing fully well that they are tomorrow's leaders... and GOD has a special plan for them.

We know from Psalm 8:2 that GOD wants to use the children to disgrace His enemies. And HE has graciously given us a very effective weapon to help keep our kids out of the clutches of Harry Potter (a.k.a. Beelzebub).

That weapon is...
To pray strong, offensive and defensive prayer points over our kids while they are sleeping. We, as parents/children, must minister to them gently and in love. Infants and young children (including the ones in the womb) need to be prayed for against bad influence from friends, and unconscious witchcraft initiation through Pottermania. They need to be constantly placed under the protection of the blood of Jesus.

You should get into the habit of reading the entire Psalm 91 over your children... nightly.

Here's a small sample of the kind of prayer you should be praying for them:
"As the LORD lives, my kids (mention them by name) shall not come under the bewitchment of Harry Potter and his agents in Jesus' name. I bind all enchantments and divinations programmed to waste my kids in Jesus' name.
The God that answers by fire let him be God. O LORD, answer by fire and disgrace every evil messengers assigned against my children in the name of Jesus."

If you program this kind of prayer into the midnight hour, it will:
1. counter and destroy any evil altar raised up by Harry Potter against children of this generation.
2. recall and break all incantations that will be uttered on the night of the launch July 21st targeted at destroying the destiny of kids. (Please note: God takes this type of activity seriously, because HE knows the destructive effects of divinations, etc... you can read about the classic case of Balaam in Num. 22).
3. (this is an exciting one!) stamp the mark of "touch not my anointed" on the forehead of all your children. This will effectively put them out of reach of modern witchcraft influences.

HARRY POTTER EVIL PART1

1 Samuel 15:23

I am writing this urgent message because I was once a witch. I lived by the stars as an astrologer and numerologist casting horoscopes and spells. I lived in the mysterious and shadowy realm of the occult. By means of spells and magic, I was able to invoke the powers of the "controlling unknown" and fly upon the night winds transcending the astral plane. Halloween was my favorite time of the year and I was intrigued and absorbed in the realm of Wiccan witchcraft. All of this was happening in the decade of the 1960's when witchcraft was just starting to come out of the broom closet.

It was during that decade of the 1960's, in the year 1966, that a woman named J.K. Rowling was born. This is the woman who has captivated the world in this year of 2000 with four books known as the "Harry Potter Series." These books are orientational and instructional manuals of witchcraft woven into the format of entertainment. These four books by J.K. Rowling teach witchcraft! I know this because I was once very much a part of that world.

Witchcraft was very different in the 1960's. There were a lot fewer witches, and the craft was far more secretive. At the end of that spiritually troubled decade, I was miraculously saved by the power of Jesus Christ and His saving blood. I was also delivered from every evil spirit that lived in me and was set free. However, as I began to attend fundamental

Christian churches, I realized that even there witchcraft had left its mark. Pagan holidays and sabats were celebrated as "Christian holidays."

As time went on, I watched the so-called "Christian" churches compromising and unifying. I also watched with amazement as teachings from Eastern religions and "New Age" doctrine began to captivate congregations. It was a satanic set-up, and I saw it coming. Illuministic conspirators were bringing forth a one-world religion with a cleverly concealed element of occultism interwoven in its teachings.

In order to succeed in bringing witchcraft to the world and thus complete satanic control, an entire generation would have to be induced and taught to think like witches, talk like witches, dress like witches, and act like witches. The occult songs of the 1960's launched the Luciferian project of capturing the minds of an entire generation. In the song "Sound Of Silence" by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, we were told of seeds that were left while an entire generation was sleeping, and that the "vision that was planted in my brain still remains."

Now it is the year 2000. All of the foundations for occultism and witchcraft are in place. The Illuminists have to move quickly, because time is running out. It was the Communist revolutionary Lenin who said, "Give me one generation of youth, and I will transform the entire world." Now an entire generation of youth has been given to a woman named J.K. Rowling and her four books on witchcraft, known as the Harry Potter Series.

As a former witch, I can speak with authority when I say that I have examined the works of Rowling and that the Harry Potter books are training manuals for the occult. Untold millions of young people are being taught to think, speak, dress and act like witches by filling their heads with the contents of these books. Children are obsessed with the Harry Potter books that they have left television and video games to read these witchcraft manuals.

The first book of the series, entitled "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", finds the orphan, Harry Potter, embarking into a new realm when he is taken to "Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." At this occult school, Harry Potter learns how to obtain and use witchcraft equipment. Harry also learns a new vocabulary, including words such as "Azkaban", "Circe", "Draco", "Erised", "Hermes", and "Slytherin"; all of which are names of real devils or demons. These are not characters of fiction!

How serious is this? By reading these materials, many millions of young people are learning how to work with demon spirits. They are getting to know them by name. Vast numbers of children professing to be Christians are also filling their hearts and minds, while willingly ignorant parents look the other way.

The titles of the books should be warning enough to make us realize how satanic and anti-christ these books are. The afore mentioned title of the first book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", was a real give away. The second book was called "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", while the third book was entitled "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."

Sadly enough, this blatant witchcraft has been endorsed by well-known and respected "Christian" leaders, such as Dr. James Dobson and Chuck Colson, who have proven themselves to be modern day Judas Iscariots. Nothing could be more obvious than that Harry Potter books are pure witchcraft and of the devil. The "Christian" leaders, however, defend them by saying that good magic always wins and overcomes evil magic.

This is the oldest con game ever hatched out of hell. As a real witch, I learned about the two sides of "the force." Apparently, so do many "Christian" leaders. When real witches have sabats and esbats and meet as a coven, they greet each other by saying "Blessed be", and when they part, they say "The Force be with you." Both sides of this "Force" are Satan. It is not a good side of the force that overcomes the bad side of the force, but rather it's the blood of Jesus Christ that destroys both supposed sides of the satanic "Force."

High level witches believe that there are seven satanic princes and that the seventh, which is assigned to Christians, has no name. In coven meetings, he is called "the nameless one." In the Harry Potter books, there is a character called "Voldemort." The pronunciation guide says of this being "He who must not be named."

On July 8 at midnight, bookstores everywhere were stormed by millions of children to obtain the latest and fourth book of the series known as "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." These books were taken into homes everywhere with a real evil spirit following each copy to curse those homes. July 8^th was also the 18th day (three sixes in numerology) from the witches' sabat of midsummer. July 8th was also the 13th day from the signing of the United Religions Charter in San Francisco. Now we have learned that the public school system is planning to use the magic of Harry Potter in the classrooms making the public schools centers of witchcraft training.

What does God have to say about such books as the Harry Potter series? In Acts 19:18-20 "And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed."

As parents, we will answer to God if we allow our children to read witchcraft books. The Word of God will prevail mightily in your life only if such things of Satan are destroyed. This tract has been prayed over, and I hope it has helped you. If we may be of further assistance, please contact us.

RED SEA CROSSING DISCOVERY

ONE of the most dramatic records of Divine intervention in history is the account of the Hebrews' exodus from Egypt .

The subsequent drowning of the entire Egyptian army in the Red Sea was not an insignificant event, and confirmation of this event is compelling evidence that the Biblical narrative is truly authentic.

Confirmation of the actual Exodus route has come from divers finding coral-encrusted bones and chariot remains in the Gulf of Aqaba

Over the years, many divers have searched the Gulf of Suez in vain for artifacts to verify the Biblical account. But carefully following the Biblical and historical records of the Exodus brings you to Nuweiba, a large beach in the Gulf of Aqaba, as Ron Wyatt discovered in 1978.

Repeated dives in depths ranging from 60 to 200 feet deep (18m to 60m), over a stretch of almost 2.5 km, has shown that the chariot parts are scattered across the sea bed. Artifacts found include wheels, chariot bodies as well as human and horse bones. Divers have located wreckage on the Saudi coastline opposite Nuweiba as well.

Since 1987, Ron Wyatt found three 4-spoke gilded chariot wheels. Coral does not grow on gold, hence the shape has remained very distinct, although the wood inside the gold veneer has disintegrated making them too fragile to move. The hope for future expeditions is to explore the deeper waters with remote cameras or mini-subs. 1. Coral-encrusted chariot wheel, filmed off the Saudi coastline, matches chariot wheels found in Tutankhamen's tomb

2. Mineralized Bone - One of many found at the crossing site (above center). This one Tested by the Dept. of Osteology at Stockholm University , was found to be a human femur, from the right leg of a 165-170cm tall man. It is essentially 'fossilized' i.e. replaced by minerals and coral, hence cannot be dated by radiocarbon methods, although this specimen was obviously from antiquity.

WHEN Ron Wyatt first visited Nuweiba in 1978, he found a Phoenician style column lying in the water. Unfortunately the inscriptions had been eroded away, hence the column's importance was not understood until 1984, when a second granite column was found on the Saudi coastline opposite -- identical to the first, except on this one the inscription was still intact.

In Phoenician letters (Archaic Hebrew), it contained the words: Mizraim (Egypt); Solomon; Edom; death; Pharaoh; Moses; and Yahweh, indicating that King Solomon had set up these columns as a memorial to the miracle of the crossing of the sea. Saudi Arabia does not admit tourists, and perhaps fearing unauthorized visitors, the Saudi Authorities have since removed this column, and replaced it with a flag marker where it once stood.

How deep is the water?

THE Gulf of Aqaba is very deep, in places over a mile (1,600m) deep. Even with the sea dried up, walking across would be difficult due to the steep grade down the sides. But there is one spot where if the water were removed, it would be an easy descent for people and animals. This is the line between Nuweiba and the opposite shore in Saudi Arabia .

Depth-sounding expeditions have revealed a smooth, gentle slope descending from Nuweiba out into the Gulf. This shows up almost like a pathway on depth-recording equipment, confirming it's Biblical description "...a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters." (Isaiah 43:16)

The Bible writers frequently refer to the miracle of the Red Sea crossing, for it was an event which finds no equal in history. Hebrew prophets describe the sea at the crossing site as "...the waters of the great deep ...the depths of the sea..." (Isaiah 51:10). Knowing the exact spot to which the Bible writers were referring, what is the depth there? The distance between Nuweiba and where artifacts have been found on Saudi coast is about 18km (11 miles).

Along this line the deepest point is about 800m (2,600 feet). No wonder that Inspired writers of the Bible described it as the mighty waters. And no wonder that not a single Egyptian survived when the water collapsed in upon them.

The Bible Account:

Exodus 14:5 When word reached the king of Egypt that the Israelites were not planning to return to Egypt after three days, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds. "What have we done, letting all these slaves get away?" they asked. 6 So Pharaoh called out his troops and led the chase in his chariot. 7 He took with him six hundred of Egypt's best chariots, along with the rest of the chariots of Egypt, each with a commander. 8 The LORD continued to strengthen Pharaoh's resolve, and he chased after the people of Israel who had escaped so defiantly. 9 All the forces in Pharaoh's army all his horses, chariots, and charioteers ? were used in the chase. The Egyptians caught up with the people of Israel as they were camped beside the shore near Pi-hahiroth, across from Baal-zephon.
10 As Pharaoh and his army approached, the people of Israel could see them in the distance, marching toward them. The people began to panic, and they cried out to the LORD for help. 11 Then they turned against Moses and complained, "Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren't there enough graves for us in Egypt? Why did you make us leave? 12 Didn't we tell you to leave us alone while we were still in Egypt? Our Egyptian slavery was far better than dying out here in the wilderness!" 13 But Moses told the people, "Don't be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch the LORD rescue you. The Egyptians that you see today will never be seen again. 14 The LORD himself will fight for you. You won't have to lift a finger in your defense!" 15 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! 16 Use your shepherd's staff ? hold it out over the water, and a path will open up before you through the sea. Then all the people of Israel will walk through on dry ground. 17 Yet I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will follow the Israelites into the sea. Then I will receive great glory at the expense of Pharaoh and his armies, chariots, and charioteers. 18 When I am finished with Pharaoh and his army, all Egypt will know that I am the LORD!" 19 Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to a position behind them, and the pillar of cloud also moved around behind them. 20 The cloud settled between the Israelite and Egyptian camps. As night came, the pillar of cloud turned into a pillar of fire, lighting the Israelite camp. But the cloud became darkness to the Egyptians, and they couldn't find the Israelites. 21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the LORD opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. 22 So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side! 23 Then the Egyptians ? all of Pharaoh's horses, chariots, and charioteers ? followed them across the bottom of the sea. 24 But early in the morning, the LORD looked down on the Egyptian army from the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw them into confusion. 25 Their chariot wheels began to come off, making their chariots impossible to drive. "Let's get out of here!" the Egyptians shouted. "The LORD is fighting for Israel against us!" 26 When all the Israelites were on the other side, the LORD said to Moses, "Raise your hand over the sea again. Then the waters will rush back over the Egyptian chariots and charioteers." 27 So as the sun began to rise, Moses raised his hand over the sea. The water roared back into its usual place, and the LORD swept the terrified Egyptians into the surging currents. 28 The waters covered all the chariots and charioteers ? the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived. 29 The people of Israel had walked through the middle of the sea on dry land, as the water stood up like a wall on both sides. 30 This was how the LORD rescued Israel from the Egyptians that day. And the Israelites could see the bodies of the Egyptians washed up on the shore. 31 When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the LORD had displayed against the Egyptians, they feared the LORD and put their faith in him and his servant Moses.

PEOPLE OF THE WAY MUST ARISE!

So what can the Christian church do in times of a national crisis apart from fasting, praying, blogging and attending church faithfully each Sunday:

I believe that the greatest resource the Christian church has are it's people. And not just any people.

They have to be people of vision, of compassion, of righteousness. People with the knowledge & skills. People with financial means. People with influence. People in strategic positions of authority with the capabilities at their disposal to assist others in need!

These people must pool their resources and skills together to formulate and implement plans to help build the lives of people within their territories that are suffering needlessly through this crisis.

Suggested plans to formulate and implement:

1. Providing skills based training to unemployed youths in area such as agriculture farming, cattle, poultry, piggery, fishing or in office work ie computer literacy, driving licenses, simple accountancy, banking, administration, clerical etc.
2. Assist in securing employment opportunities for those who have never been employed or those who have lost employment.

3. Provide small business training for women, horticulture, garment, crafts, catering etc.

4. Providing the necessary capital to kick start the businesses. Doesn't have to be in the thousands. You'll be suprised what $100 can do if used wisely. Take the example from Matt 25:14-28
5. Opening of "Soup Kitchens" or Resource Centres where needy, people who have been incapacitated by physical disabilites that can collect daily/weekly/monthly rations of groceries, old clothes etc.

The Christian church is to be the CONSCIENCE of the nation. If things are going awry, the church should be recieving the warning signals and spring into action, not BURY IT'S HEAD UNDER THE CLOAK OF, "OH EVERYTHINGS OK, JUST PRAY AND IT WILL GO AWAY, JUST STAY IN CHURCH AND KEEP PREACHING TO OURSELVES UNTIL WE ARE BLUE IN THE FACE. LET THE NATION GO TO THE DOGS ANYWAY, IT'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS."

When the nation of Israel was going to be destroyed by it's enemies, a young Jewish woman arose, Esther, who in her strategic capacity as Queen of Persia made plans to save her people. Recommended DVD viewing, "One Night With The King - The Story of Esther"

By the way, she did not hide in the closet and pray only for some angel to come down and save them. She stuck her neck out and risked death to save her country. Read the Holy Book in Esther chapter 8.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being "disconnected" because of an unpaid bill. Jesus already paid the bill in-full.

And just think--no dropped calls!

I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost, now I'm found and forgiven."

I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

My flaws are far too visible but God believes I am worth it.

I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches so I call upon His name.

The only hope for these 33 million teens is a coalition of churches and youth groups devoted to doubling their numbers and growing deeper in Christ through discipleship. These are sobering and eternal questions that we all must give account of at Judgement Day before a Holy and Just God! What will be our answer!?

It has been said, “If you want to impact the world, stir up the church.” We are the salt of the Earth and the Light of the world – God’s living and breathing change agents. Satan is not subtle about how he crams his message down the throats of this generation on a daily basis. He uses every medium possible – websites, TV, music videos, print media, etc.

As children of the Most High God, we are not just a live blog! We are a jam-packed arsenal of biblical truths communicated in the language of today’s generation – the World Wide Web! When unified and empowered by the Spirit of God, the church is a formidable force. It is up to us to collectively work together to advance the Kingdom agenda and with this in mind we are asking that all you who Name the Name of the Lord help us spread the word about this blog site by getting the word out that God still rules in our state of affairs! Invite your friends and family to do the same and together we can take the Gospel message where it’s never been!
