I was able to see a great dvd of Louie Giglio preaching during the Chris Tomlin “How Great is Our God Tour” and he talks about the cell adhesion protein molecule “laminin”. It’s the “glue” that holds our cells together. When he puts this picture up on the big screen the crowd just claps and cheers when they see it. The pic on the left is the scientific diagram and the one on the right is the actual molecule under an electron microscope. The stuff that holds our bodies together is in the shape of the cross! He quotes the verse Colossians 1:17 “He (Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Another pic that he uses is the picture of the middle of the Whirlpool galaxy that is 31 million light years away. This image was captured by the Hubble telescope. God’s glory imprinted in the cosmos!

dONT mESS WITH iSRAEL by Rabbi Baruch Meir Clein

I recently came across some information regarding American-Israeli relations that I thought was worth sharing. I am not exactly sure what it all means, but I have learned enough in my life to know that there is no such thing as coinci-dences. The following is just a sampling with the real kicker at the end.

October 30, 1991: President Bush (1st one) opened the Madrid Conference, the intended purpose of which was to strip Israel of its land in exchange for 'peace'with the Palestinian Arabs. ON THAT VERY DAY, an extremely rare storm formed on the coast of Nova Scotia, a storm later named 'The Perfect Storm' (which the book and movie were about), and record-setting waves pounded the New England coast-causing heavy damage to the President's home in Kennebunkport, Maine.

August 23, 1992: The Madrid Conference moved to Washington, D.C. with the same agenda of attempting to wrest land from a sovereign country. That, of course, would create a state of homelessness for thousands of Jews. ON THAT VERY DAY, Hurricane Andrews produced an estimated $30 billion in damage, leaving 180,000 Floridians homeless. It was the worst natural disaster to ever hit America - at least up to that time.

January 16, 1994: President Clinton meets with the Syrian President in order to develop a strategy that would force Israel to give up the Golan Heights. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, a powerful 6.9 earthquake rocks southern California, leaving countless Americans homeless.

March 1, 1997: Arafat begins a one-month tour of America and President Clinton publicly rebukes Israel for not surrendering land for peace. ON THAT VERY DAY, that Arafat lands in America, powerful tornadoes devastate huge sections of the country while ripping across Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Days later, as Arafat is still touring, storms hit the Dakotas, causing the worst flooding of the century. Weeks of storms rage throughout the Midwest until Arafat completes his tour. The day he leaves the U.S., the storms 'suddenly' begin to settle down, and end within a few days.

January 21, 1998: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu meets with Clinton and is coldly received as President Clinton and Secretary of State Madeline Albright refuse to lunch with him. ON THAT VERY DAY, just hours later, the Monica Lewinski scandal erupts and will consume the major portion of Clinton's time for the remainder of his tenure.

Others include:

• The World Trade Center Bombing of 1993, on the day that Secretary Albright leaves on a trip to visit 8 Arab/Muslim countries to develop a strategy against Israel.
• The Northridge Earthquake in 1994, on the day that President Clinton and Syrian President Assad demand that Israel turn the Golan Heights over to Syria. Ravaging tornadoes hit the Mid-West on the day in 2002 that Bush negotiates Arafat's release from Israeli capture.
• Hurricane Lili hitting the U.S. the same time in 2002 that Bush refuses to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem and refuses to recognize Jerusalem as the Capital.

But here, ladies and gents, is the kicker:

August of 2005 was the month when Sharon expelled the Jews of Gaza from their homes. Just about 10,000 Jews were made homeless, in accordance with the demands of the American President and his Secretary of State. The operation was being concluded on August 29.

ON THAT VERY DAY, America was hit by THE WORST natural disaster to have ever occurred in America. Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area and just about 500,000 people were made homeless. 10,000 Jews out of a population of 6 million is a percentage of 0.00167. 500,000 Americans out of a population of 300 million is a percentage of 0.00167.

Like I said, I don't believe in coincidences. All I can say is that the next time this government comes down hard on our brethren over there, we all might want to duck for cover.

DAILY PRAYER COVERING - (Psalm 91)

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind, rebuke and bring to no effect all division; discord; disunity; strife; anger; wrath; murder; criticism; condemnation; pride; envy; jealousy; gossip; slander; evil speaking; complaining; lying; false teaching; false gifts; false manifestations; lying signs and wonders; poverty; fear of lack; fear spirits; murmuring spirits; complaining spirits; hindering spirits; retaliatory spirits; deceiving spirits; religious spirits; occult spirits; witchcraft spirits; including Jezebel, Delilah and Apollyon and spirits of antichrist.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind all curses that have been spoken against me. I bless those who curse me and pray for those who despitefully use me. I bind all spoken judgments made against me and judgments I have made against others. I bind the power of negative words from others and I bind and render useless all prayers not inspired by the Holy Spirit, whether psychic, soul force, witchcraft or counterfeit tongues that have been prayed against me. I am God’s child. I resist the devil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I put on the whole armor of God and I take authority over this day in Jesus name. Let it be prosperous for me, let me walk in Your love Lord.

The Holy Spirit leads and guides me today. In the power of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I am able to discern between the righteous and the wicked. I take authority over satan and all his demons and those people who are influenced by them. I declare satan is under my feet and shall remain there. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am God’s property. In the name of Jesus I say to you satan, you are bound from my family, my mind, my body, my home and my finances. I confess that I am healed and whole. I flourish, am long lived, stable, durable, incorruptible, fruitful, virtuous, full of peace, patience and love. Whatsoever I set my hands to do shall prosper for God supplies all my needs. I have all authority over you satan and all your demons and demonic beasts of the field.

Lord God, I pray for the ministry You have for me. Anoint me O God for all You have called me to do for You. I call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity, God-ordained encounters and ministry positions.

I claim a hedge of Your protection around me throughout this day and night and I ask You O God, in the name of Jesus, to dispatch angels to surround us today and to put them throughout our house, around our premises, our car, our souls and our bodies. I ask Your Holy angels to protect all that we own from any intrusion and to protect me and my family from any harmful demonic or other physical or mental attacks.

I ask this prayer in the powerful name of my risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, AMEN!

Behold, the Laminin of God

Laminin is a cell adhesion protein. The Wikipedia entry says a lot about it that I don't really understand, but one intelligible-even-to-non-geeks statement is that "Laminin is vital to making sure that your overall body structures hold together. If laminin isn't produced correctly, your muscles may form improperly, giving you a form of muscular dystrophy. Or you may just fall apart in a way similar to aging, a condition called 'progeria.'" Clearly, laminins "are an integral part of the structural scaffolding in almost every animal tissue."

I heard about laminin just this morning during lunch at the Bula Bistro.

Laminin, gamma 2, also known as LAMC2, is a human gene.[1]Laminins, a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins, are the major noncollagenous constituent of basement membranes. They have been implicated in a wide variety of biological processes including cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth and metastasis. Laminins are composed of 3 non identical chains: laminin alpha, beta and gamma (formerly A, B1, and B2, respectively) and they form a cruciform structure consisting of 3 short arms, each formed by a different chain, and a long arm composed of all 3 chains. Each laminin chain is a multidomain protein encoded by a distinct gene. Several isoforms of each chain have been described. Different alpha, beta and gamma chain isomers combine to give rise to different heterotrimeric laminin isoforms which are designated by Arabic numerals in the order of their discovery, i.e. alpha1beta1gamma1 heterotrimer is laminin 1. The biological functions of the different chains and trimer molecules are largely unknown, but some of the chains have been shown to differ with respect to their tissue distribution, presumably reflecting diverse functions in vivo. This gene encodes the gamma chain isoform laminin, gamma 2. The gamma 2 chain, formerly thought to be a truncated version of beta chain (B2t), is highly homologous to the gamma 1 chain; however, it lacks domain VI, and domains V, IV and III are shorter. It is expressed in several fetal tissues but differently from gamma 1, and is specifically localized to epithelial cells in skin, lung and kidney. The gamma 2 chain together with alpha 3 and beta 3 chains constitute laminin 5 (earlier known as kalinin), which is an integral part of the anchoring filaments that connect epithelial cells to the underlying basement membrane. The epithelium-specific expression of the gamma 2 chain implied its role as an epithelium attachment molecule, and mutations in this gene have been associated with junctional epidermolysis bullosa, a skin disease characterized[1]

Louis Giglio draws a connection between laminin's role in the body with how in Christ "all things hold together" (Col. 1:17). (video on YouTube). You can find references to this on a lot of blogs, but I thought it was fascinating and wanted to share it too . . . especially after Michael said, "Behold, the laminin of God!"

Also, laminin is "actually made up of three separate parts," or three different chains, per Wikipedia. I guess you could say it's a triune protein. I don't know enough about the molecular structure of proteins to know if that's unusual, but this protein seems to be another way that nature points to God . . . for those who have eyes to see.
